The four-week workshop format is ideal for balancing the need for both feedback and community in our busy lives. Four weeks is just right for learning both via craft instruction and conversation with fellow writers.

This four-week workshop* series will emphasize craft + conscientious revision.

• Each session will include craft instruction inspired by the pieces submitted.

• I'd be moderating a group discussion on the featured writer's work. My writing workshop ethos is >>> The conversation starts with what's really working and singing and moves into what needs deepening and re-shaping.

• Will require: Submitting up to 15 pages (double-spaced, font size 12, excluding a brief synopsis of no more than half a page) for: 1) my feedback, and 2) your fellow writers' feedback.

• Will also require: Reading up to eight 15-page samples from your fellow writers and offering a page-long letter of feedback for each.

• DUE DATE for the writing submissions will be Monday, May 20.

• My feedback for you will include: ~1.5 page letter with comments and suggestions, margin comments, and at least one writing activity to get you started on your revisions.

• This class is limited to eight writers; writers working in both fiction and creative nonfiction are welcome.

• We’ll meet via Zoom. Once you’re registered, I’ll send you a link and all the info you need to attend.

*The Four Week Writing Workshop is nonrefundable.

Cancellation Policy: The workshop requires at least five registered writers to move forward. If the workshop is in danger of not happening, I will inform you as early as possible.
